JOSEPHITE RUN

BIG STRIDES FOR EDUCATION

Located in the heart of Bangalore, St. Joseph's Boys' High School has been a beacon of education, hope, and community for over a century.

The school has nurtured generations of students, giving them the knowledge, values, and confidence to make a positive impact in the world.

Following the disruptions of the pandemic, when global physical activity levels declined due to lockdowns, remote work, and school closures—the SJBHS Old Boys Association (OBA) and Parent Teacher Association (PTA) recognized the need to reintroduce physical challenges that could help reverse these effects among children and adults.

Their goal was to promote healthier habits for both children and adults, while also reconnecting the community.

This vision led to the creation of the Josephite Run in 2024, an event designed to bring together students, teachers, alumni, and the wider community.

The Josephite Run helps build a healthier future by promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, community spirit, and family bonding.

The funds from the event support the educational needs of underprivileged children, further uplifting the spirit of the school community and beyond.

Vision

With each step, we feel a rhythm of compassion, determination, and change. Every stride tells a story of hope and resilience.

We envision a world where each step brings us closer to ensuring every child receives the education they deserve, empowering them to reach their full potential and create a more equitable future.

Our run for the education of the underprivileged goes beyond miles, forging a path to a brighter future for those in need.

Mission

Education is a right for all, not a privilege for a few! Our run is more than a run; it's a purposeful journey.

Our mission is to leverage community and movement to provide quality education to underprivileged children, helping them break the cycle of poverty and create a better future.  We believe education is the strongest tool against social inequality, and our run embodies this commitment.
